Our Charge

Our Assessment Core Team provides strategic direction to assessment efforts across Duke Libraries. Recent initiatives include:

• Implementing LibPAS, a web-based system for managing external reporting to ARL, NCES and other organizations
• Completing LibQUAL in Spring 2011 and analyzing and reporting on the results in Summer and Fall 2011 internally and externally to facilitate use of these results
• Training staff to gather and use good evidence about user behaviors and needs in library planning in the User Studies Initiative
• Consulting with members of our Web Interfaces Group on the design and implementation of web assessment projects to evaluate and improve Duke Libraries' web sites and research tools
• Supporting assessment components of other library task forces, such as the ILS ARC Training Coordination Group and the Collections Coordinators Group
