Collections Council

A group established to advise the library administration regarding library-wide collection priorities; to recommend policies and guidelines needed for development of the collection management program; to review funding plans for the collections and make recommendations for budget planning for library materials; to serve as a review body for major purchases or acquisitions to the collections; to coordinate the work of various task forces and committees operating under the direction of the Council. Members include the following:

• AUL for Collections Services & Director of the RBMSCL
  
• Head, Collection Development
  
• Head, Acquisitions/Serials
• Head, Cataloging
• Head, Reference
• Preservation Officer
• Scholarly Communications Officer
  
• Representatives from the library's Humanities, Social Sciences, International & Area Studies, Sciences, RBMSCL discipline groups and from the Collection Development Department
