Management Council -

Consisted of Perkins System department heads and the Executive Group. The Council served as an advisory body to the Executive Group and as communicator between the library administration and the library staff. In November, 2001 it was replaced with the Administrative Council.

Media -

Printed and audio/visual forms of communication and any necessary equipment required to render them usable. Most audiovisual media are housed in the Lilly Library and Music Media Center.

Medical School Library -

One of the four professional Duke libraries. The library provides services and collections to support educational, research, and clinical
activities in the health sciences.

Monographic Order Processing -

Unit in Acquisitions/Serials that assigns vendors and inputs all firm orders (about 20,000 per year); participates in fund monitoring to avoid over-expenditure; claims for slow/non-receipt of monographic materials; checks in and barcodes materials when received; handles receipt of the approval plan materials (around 13,000 books per year); and keys records for gifts and other non-paid materials which cannot be electronically downloaded (around 27,000 total titles of both keyed and downloaded)

Music Library -

This library, located in the Biddle Music Building on East Campus, consists of the music print collection and the Music Media Center, which houses sound recordings, videos, and multimedia resources.
