Data Visualization Coordinator
I began working as the Data Visualization Coordinator for Data and Visualization Services in 2012. While pursuing my doctorate in Information Science from Indiana University, I spent three years as a research assistant, focusing on information visualization projects and instruction. My research spans a wide range of subjects and methods — from qualitative analysis of interview and observational data to pattern detection in large, quantitative datasets. I hold a Master of Communication from Cornell University and have complementary training in cognitive science and computer science. I am happy to help with all phases of the data analysis cycle, and I am especially familiar with data processing/formatting and the design of visualizations and interactive systems. I teach workshops on data visualization, visual communication, and related software tools.
