I am the Archivist for Metadata and Encoding in the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library. My duties include coordinating metadata activities for the Digital Collections program, overseeing encoding and publication of archival finding aids, and managing other technical services operations in Special Collections. I am an active member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA), the Society of North Carolina Archivists (SNCA), and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Prior to coming to Duke in 2008, I served as a Carolina Academic Library Associate in the Southern Historical Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill (2006-2008) and worked as a Special Collections Assistant at the Filson Historical Society in Louisville, Kentucky (2004-2006). I earned a BA in History from Furman University (2003), an MA in History from the University of Louisville (2005), and an MLS from UNC-Chapel Hill (2008).
