About
I am the Coordinator of Upper Level Instruction and the Librarian for Education in Perkins Library. While I find all aspects of my work interesting, I especially enjoy coordinating the Libraries’ Undergraduate Advisory Board and the Durden Prize for outstanding undergraduate research; working with students, faculty and staff in the Program in Education; and helping to improve usability of the Libraries’ website (a never-ending job!).
Background
I began at Duke as an intern in Lilly Library and then started working full-time in Perkins Library the following year. Prior to working at Duke, I taught high school English for a short time and then served as the teen librarian at Natrona County Public Library in Casper, Wyoming and as librarian in Durham’s Southern High School. I received my BA in English/secondary education from N.C. State and my MS in library science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
