I am the Librarian for Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, and Linguistics; coordinator of the social science librarians; and collector for Reference. I work with researchers and students and provide research assistance, library instruction, collection building and web-based guides to library resources. I am an active member of the American Library Association and the Association of College and Research Libraries.
Background
I am a native of Durham and a Duke graduate, with a B.A. in History. I received my M.L.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill. Prior to becoming a librarian, I was a freelance writer for the Texas Observer; editor for the Institute for Southern Studies; and landscape designer for the NC Executive Mansion. As an avid traveler, I have biked from Athens, Greece, to Dublin, Ireland, and hitchhiked across Europe. I am a sports fanatic and love to play volleyball, run, and watch all types of collegiate games.
