so , the SERVICE OF THE DUKE IS VERY BAD.
so, kindly inform to the senior authority & insure that in future not repeat such things.

It sounds to Answer Person that you’ve run across some counterfeit Duke merchandise (i.e., not officially licensed).  The merchandise is both illegal and Duke can’t guarantee the quality of it.  You will need to continue trying to get satisfaction from the owner of the shop.

Armchair philosophy August 5, 2008

will you please explain to me what is “armchair philosophy”?

I’m sure that the designers for the La-Z-Boy company refer to their work using this term. It also refers to a sort of casual and untrained philosophy. You can look upon this in a positive populist manner, or as the work as an amateur (depending, I suppose, on how you view regular philosophers).

Was Duke at one time Holy Trinity college, and if so what year?

It was once “Trinity College,” affiliated with the Methodist Church (and originally also with the Quakers as “Union Institute”). The first two links here at the University Archives web site tell you a lot. It was Trinity college from 1859 until 1924. The Trinity College of Art & Sciences still exists as a unit of Duke University.

what are the Requirements for nursing school?

For the Duke University School of Nursing, you should visit their web site and contact them. They have an admissions FAQ or just their main page where they have several links to “prospective student resources” over on the right.

East to West Campus distance August 5, 2008

How far is it from East Campus to West?

Each covers a big patch of ground, so the distance can vary a lot depending on where you begin and end in each place. It’s 1.8 miles from the bus stop at the Washington Duke statue on East to the Chapel on West.
