I am interested in applying for this school for college. I want to be a Psychiatrist and I am currently a freshman at Woodmont Highschool and I am considering your college as a choice of mine.

I think your questions can be answered from Duke’s Admissions & Aid web pages, the Admissions Office pages , the “Who We’re Looking For” page, and all the other pages linked to from these. Specifically, there are no minimum test scores or class ranks (but these may be factored in with other facets). You can read the standardized test policy. Please look over these pages and contact the admissions office for more information.

how many undergraduate schools are there at Duke? List Them

The Duke web page that links to academic programs lists merely (1) Trinity College and (2) the Pratt School of Engineering as undergraduate schools. They seem to be very fuzzy about the categorization of the Nicholas School. It’s not one of the two schools that is listed after the word “Undergraduate,” but is listed under “Schools and Departments” and certainly has a lot of UG courses and majors (as well as the Masters and Doctorate programs). If you go under Trinity College and go to the list of majors, they list some programs that are part of the Nicholas School, such as Earth & Ocean Sciences and Environmental Science and Policy. Trinity and Pratt, of course, also have graduate programs. You be the judge, but I’ll say there are 2.5 undergraduate schools.

There are many versions of Tetris for different platforms, with variations in the theme music. Wikipedia has a nice overview . The most popular theme is called “Music A” and seems to be based on a Russian folk tune, “Korobeiniki.”

I mean, they’re specifically for people who aren’t following the degree requirements and can be tailored to the individual receiving the award. I’m sure that some universities are more rigorous about granting honorary doctorates (e.g., they want the person to have performed feats of academic rigor, or to have contributed greatly to society), while others grant the honor to large donors.

They don’t hold anything up either. What are they there for? Do people in London just like to remember using erector sets as children? Cheers.

Do they look old? These sound like tanks for the storage of gas. In particular, I think they’re associated with the storage of coal gas (derived from coal). There was steel scaffolding around the cylindrical tank. It could be that the tank part in the middle has been removed, leaving only the scaffolding. Some of the really old ones used a brick curtain around the outside rather than steel scaffolding. You can google words like “gas storage tanks” and “industrial archaeology” and look for images.
