Beth Spataro
Beth teaches 7th Grade Language Arts at Rogers-Herr Middle School.
Wende DaQuano
Wende is beginning her tenth year teaching at George Watts Montessori Magnet School. She currently teaches a first, second, and third grade combination class. Originally from Michigan, WeWende is beginning her tenth year teaching at George Watts Montessori Magnet School. She currently teaches a first, second, and third grade combination class.
Originally from Michigan, Wende has now lived in the triangle area for most of her life. Wende received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Elon College and eventually went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education K-6 from UNC-Chapel Hill. She also recently became Montessori Certified. Wende uses technology to help her students become successful citizens and feels it should be accessible to all children, regardless of their background.
Robin Franklin
Robin Franklin teaches second grade at Lakewood Elementary. She has been teaching in Durham Public School for ten years. She grew up in Georgia, but loves Durham more than ice cream. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts and earned her M Ed. from UNC-Chapel Hill in Literacy in August 2003. Robin loves to plan exciting new projects with her co-teachers. She wants her children to be able to share all their amazing thinking using all the latest and greatest technology tools.
