Sharin Thomas
Sharin Thomas moves up from being a mentee last year. Sharin did such a phenomenal job incorporating technology into her Montessori classroom that it was a seemless transition to be a mentor this year. Sharin shares some thoughts about technology in her classroom.
Sharon’s two mentees this year are Ms. Rachel Rodrigues and Ms. Teresa VanAcker.
Allen Cross
Allen Cross teaches English at the Durham School of the Arts. He also teaches filmmaking. Allen is the kind of teacher that we all remember. Allen is dedicated to passing on his passion for the subjects he teaches.
Helen Ommen,Rebecca Hill, Elizabeth McRainey
Helen, Rebecca, and Elizabeth could not decide who should be the mentor on their team so they chose to work as one unit this year. They are sharing resources and planning projects together for thier second-graders.
Karine Thate
Karine Thate is a 7th grade science teacher at Rogers-Herr Middle School. Karine is mentoring the other science teacher,Lynn Chesnut and a 7th grade social studies teacher,Chantal Lerebours.
Christine Akinnagbe
Christine Akinnagbe is the Technology Facilitator at E. K. Powe. This is Christine’s second year working in this position. She is working with Ms. Gina Grande.
