Process_Description:: The following steps were performed by ESRI: Copied the cities and towns data sets from the Sistemas de Información Geográfica, S.A. de C.V. CD-ROM. Started with the towns data set and added two cities (Ciudad de Mexico and Juriquilla) from the cities data set. Replaced the attribute OBJETO with POPULATION and created its values from parsing the values of OBJETO. Added attribute ALT_NAME and created its values from parsing the alternative name values of NOMBRE. Renamed attributes NOMBRE to NAME and ESTADO to STATE. Made the values title case for attributes NAME, ALT_NAME, and STATE. Cleaned up the values of attributes ALT_NAME and STATE. Removed attribute CAPITAL. Created ArcGIS® layer file (.lyr), projection file (.prj), and spatial indices.
