The following steps were performed by ESRI: Downloaded data set from the Sistemas de Información Geográfica, S.A. de C.V. FTP site. Removed two islands. Added all lagoon islands from Mexico Municipalities as water void areas. Dissolved remnant tile boundaries from water bodies. Corrected a few miscoded features. Added reservoir island from Mexico Rivers and Streams. Clipped features at the international border. Renamed attributes to English equivalents. Created the attributes STATUS and SQKM. Created the attribute RANK and coded the values based on area. Recoded "No Name" values as blanks and clarified other values for the NAME attribute. Changed the spheroid from GRS 1980 to WGS 1984. Created ArcGIS® layer file (.lyr), projection file (.prj), and spatial indices. Converted the data set to SDC.
