    Four page newsletter published in Stevenson, Alabama. Published every Saturday by A.B. Condit. Coverage of post Civil War issues such as the elective franchise, paying off the national debt, and the discovery of a woman, Ida Bruce, disguised as a Union soldier. Includes advertisements, and editorials. One editorial discusses the inadequacy of local education for white children, while schools for the blacks are "efficient, flourishing, well organized."
