DescriptionOpen invitation for teachers in Arkansas to attend upcoming meeting of Southern Historical Association, to be held Dec. 28-30, 1899 in Memphis. "While sectionalism in its invidious application is to be deprecated, it must be admitted that the problem of education in the South and in other sections of the Union differs materially, and this very fact led to the organization of this association ... Southern teachers can ill afford to miss this opportunity of aiding and being aided in their professional labors, and it is the earnest desire of the officers and committee that every Southern state be largely represented."
