DescriptionTwo-page report addressed to Brigadier General R. C. Drum outlines military activities in the western territories and comments on the state of relations with Native Americans. The report states: "There has been no serious trouble with Indians in the Department of the Missouri." The report also recommends that Fort Wallace, Fort Dodge and Fort Larned be turned over to the Indian Bureau.
