DescriptionLetter informing the recipient he has been appointed to a committee to support Henry Clay's 1832 presidential bid. "The prospect of defeating the re-election of President Jackson, and restoring the Constitution and Laws to their proper authority, and bringing back the Government to its original principles is brighter now than it has been for three years past. But to effect this object, the vote of Kentucky is essential...." Signed Geo. W. Williams. On opposite site, addressed by hand to Capt. Sidney P. Clay.
