    Circular letter from Aug. 30, 1845, document is stained and torn on the lower right corner. This document is an editorial piece written by "an Eastern Shoreman" and addressed to the People of Maryland. The writer is upset a couple of legislators want to tax the residents of Maryland to pay off the debt created by the Maryland legislature. He calls them "worthies" and believes that if Maryland focused more on public works, more money could be generated to pay of the debt without taxing the populace.
