1-page notice to Major John J. Yellot from P.G. Bier, A.A.G., confirming that his orders and instructions on dealing with collaborators and sympathizers (and their families) of the raid on Harper's Ferry, W. Va. had been received. Also, on order from Maj. Gen Hunter, every male citizen of Frederick was ordered to swear an "Oath of Allegiance to the Government of the U.S" or be regarded as secessionists, and punished accordingly.
