The truth concerning Pitt County finances

DescriptionBroadside addressed to Pitt County taxpayers deflecting claims of the new Populist (referred to as "the fusionists") Board of County Commissioners that it spent fewer taxpayer dollars for the year than the former Democratic Board. In defense, the broadside insists that the Democratic Board "audited more claims against the county"; spent more on "witness and jury tickets...in the Superior Court"; spent more on infrastructure improvements such as bridges and dams; and "repaired and put vaults in the court house for the protection of the records and titles...", thereby leaving the new Board with only "...the ordinary routine expenses of the county."
