DescriptionEditorial published in the New Bern Sun, May 23, 1908 about the campaign conduct of Mr. Kitchen in the 1908 North Carolina gubernatorial race, and his "attempt to fuse the Democratic party with Marion Butler and his coterie of pie hunters in 1898." Other letters by Mr. Chas. W. Tilllet of Charlotte, and Mr. M. C. Freeman, a farmer from Richmond County are mentioned, with an extensive quote from Mr. Tillett's letter complaining that "Mr. Kitchin has not been in Mr. Craig's congressional district to make a single speech..."
