• Description
  Over the years, several children have been the sole survivors of raft voyages. In 1999-2000, one of these children, Elián González, became the center of an international custody dispute between his relatives in Miami and his father who lived in Cuba. His mother was lost at sea during the crossing. The set of postcards shown here were prepared by the Cuban government.
