Albumen photographic prints of interior and exterior views of private houses, churches, businesses, street scenes, and public buildings in Salem, Mass., focuses principally on Cousins' interest and work in colonial architecture. The photographs are part of a larger collection (220 items) of Cousins' photographs in the Special Collections Library, most of which are also of Salem, but also include some from other towns in Massachusetts.

First church (Unitarian), Essex. Corner of Washington St., Salem, Mass.. Fourth (present) building erected 1826, remodeled 1874. On this site in 1634 was erected the first meeting house built in Salem. Also on this site was organized in Aug. 1629 the first church.
