Have decided to keep a roll book. I have numbered the end and beginning of each roll of film which is proofed on the contact sheet. The year first - 72, then the roll number 132[circled]. I guess I should put the month too as long as I'm doing it. And I will write about the rolls here.

Roll 120 begins with the end of the night shooting in Catskill N.Y. and follows with night shots of a gas station on the corner of Flueking and Clermont in Brooklyn; rolls 125.127 the same subject.
I have been fascinated with this gas station for probably a year. I first tried photographing it with the 8x10 in the day time not very successfully. My view camera technique is primitive. I love the view camera approach and some day I will devote time and master it as it is close to my way of seeing. I don't know why I have been drawn to this crumbling station. Its rich textured walls and abandoned quality, but mostly the empty
