Trains in Collision
A big smash-up on the Brooklyn Elevated Road
No one seriously hurt, but it came near being a fatal accident - The trouble occurred at Hudson and Myrtle Avenues, where the two roads cross each other.
A serious accident occured [sic.] to-night at the crossing of the two branches of the Brooklyn Elevated Railroad, at Hudson and Myrtle avenues. This place has been condemned by everybody since operations began, some months ago. At this corner the Flatbrush and Myrtle avenue branches cross each other at right angles, and it was feared that some accident would occur as soon as trains were run on the Flatbrush avenue branch. This was proven to be the case tonight.
The trains on the latter branch started running on Sunday. Many did not imagine that the predictions made would be verified for some time to come, particularly not after two days running. To-night two locomotives crashed into each other, and it was only by a miracle that a horrible catastrophe was averted. As usual in such accidents on the "L" roads, no one could be found
