Kirchner painted most of his street paintings during 1913 and 1914 [13 street paintings exist]
By "street" I mean people in the street environment as differentiated from distant street scenes with small (tiny) figures.
He seems to have painted the first in 1908, but continued working on it, or finished it in 1919- p. 273 cat. 33 [phrase in margin:] color plate: Kirchner, Grohmann p 15
