How to obtain reproductions of materials

Requests for reproductions of materials from the William Gedney collection at Duke University David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library are handled on a case by case basis by the Research Services Department of the Library.

Photographic reproductions from the original negatives are not available. For approved reproductions, higher resolution digital scans may be requested by contacting the Library.  Please include the negative number(s) of the image(s) requested as well as your E-mail address, postal address, and telephone or fax number with any correspondence.

How to cite materials

When using images or texts from the William Gedney Photographs and Writings web site, please acknowledge their source by clearly stating the following information: for photographs, include the subject of the photograph and the date of exposure; for writings, include the title of the written work and dates for writings.
