To the right of the vertical, the numbers on the face of the coupon indicated the number of units, zone number and the period in which the coupon was to be used. Printed in dark blue. Coupons on the left of the center vertical and the bottom row to the right had the face value of 1, 5 and 10 gallons and were used for making change. Printed in dark blue ink. Background paper contains stylized Great Seal and the phrase "U.S. Government Ration" in blue ink.
