Fuel oil ration class 5 consumer coupons (Zone A-1)

• Description
  Class 5 coupons were designated as 25 gallons per unit. Unit value could vary depending on supply. Used for purposes other than space and water heating. Sheet of perforated coupons. Space for the name of the holder and record of transaction is on a center vertical. To the right of the vertical, the numbers on the face of the coupon indicated the number of units, zone number and the period in which the coupon was to be used. Printed in light blue. Coupons on the left of the center vertical and the bottom row to the right had the face value of 1, 5, 25, and 50 gallons and were used for making change. Printed in dark blue ink. Background paper contains stylized Great Seal and the phrase "U.S. Government Ration" in blue ink.
