Scot Tissue
Item Information
-
DescriptionArticle criticizing scientific claims made in Scottissue advertising about health dangers of impure toilet paper. Reports that AMA asked J.W. Thompson Co., who developed the ad campaign, to supply them with research on which claims were based; studies done by AMA's Chemical Laboratory did not verify those claims. Concludes that this kind of advertising does medicine and science a great disservice.
