  Caricature of Gaston Alexandre Auguste, Marquis de Galliffet, Prince de Martignes (1830-1909) as a dog walking on his front legs. Galliffet was a retired French general who served as Minister of War during the Dreyfus Affair. As Minister of War he helped quell unrest in the amry during the Affair.
