Dr. Pauline B. Bart is a feminist sociologist who is on the faculty at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a scholar at the Center for the Study of Women at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Accession (2009-0199) (33,425 items; 45 lin. ft.; dated 1940s-2005) includes Bart's data, articles, surveys, interviews, and essays from her research on avoiding or stopping rape; abortion, including the Jane abortion service in Chicago; women's health and sexual education; pornography; depression; and motherhood. Also included are materials from her sociology classes, correspondence, clippings, copies of her articles and publications, grant applications, American Sociological Association materials, and other miscellaneous loose pages and files. Acquired as part of the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture.
