The Constitution, Our Platform! McClellan, Our choice!
A man rose up in Sixty-one
To put Rebellion down;
He whipped the Rebels everywhere,
’Till he came to Richmond-town;
From here he called for a few more men,
But Abe Lincoln called him back:
He’d wipped Rebellion out too soon;
His name was Little Mac.
On Antietam plain, we find again
He made the Rebels stand;
And for this glorious victory,
They took ’way his Command.
But he’s our Nation’s only hope..
Abe Lincoln must remember..
For. Little Mac will come out right,
On the Fourth day of November!
Others have tried their hands at cards,
To make the South cave in;
But with Little Mac, the bower, out,
They couldn’t expect to win;
And, had they left McCiellan there,
I’ll bet a bundled Fives:
He’d settled this muss some time ago,
And saved some thousand lives!
