At de rising of de sun, den my day's work is begun,
And of all de white wash jobs I take possession.

About ninety years ago. when I came to Baltimore,
Den I was a clever little feller.
But as I older grew, why I saved a dime or two,
And I set up white wash business in a cellar.
There's one thing more I'll state. and I think it not too
’Tis all about de colored population. [late,
If they leave them all alone in their present happy home,
That s the way to save a great and glorious nation.
