Long life to McClellan! he will soon put down Rebellion,
With the Starry Banner floating o’er him!
We are ready at his call, tho’ around him we may fall;
We’ll wipe out Rebellion with pouder, shell and ball.

The British, I am told, with their navy so bold,
Have threatened to open our blockade;
Let them try it if they will, and we’ll show them Yankee Skill,

The British they are boasters, and they know it very well:
Their boasting and their crowing over Mason and Slidell...
We did them surrender, according to the laws;

When Rebellion is put down, and our troubles are all o’er,
We’ll have peace amongst ourselves, but with England we’ll have war!
They think they can whip us, but that they will not say:
