Triumphal Song

J. Wright, Printer, Macclesfield.

Triumphal Song.

Now we have won the day,
Let us all shout huzza!
For our brave Ryle.
He is the best of all,
And topmost of the poll,—
So with our heart and soul,
We’ll shout huzza!

He is a staunch old friend,
And will our trade defend
From all its foes.
We long have known him true,
In word and practice too;
To him our praise is due,
Where e’er he goes.

Then with our heart and voice,
Let us all now rejoice,
With loud acclaim:
May Ryle long live to see
Trade and prosperity,
And every man made free;
Long live John Ryle.
