ATLA Religion Database (and more!) for Alumni
The Duke University Libraries and the Duke University Alumni Association have worked together to provide access to a set of online resources available to all Duke alumni. The ATLA Religion Database is sponsored by the Divinity School Library and funded through the Henry Harrison Jordan Memorial Fund. These databases may be accessed off-campus by Duke alumni who are using them for personal, non-commercial use.
To access these databases, login or register with the Duke Alumni Directory. Once you have logged in, click on the "Library Databases" link near the top of the page. This will take you to the Duke Alumni Library Online Access page with links to the selected databases. This page also has a chat box where you can get real-time assistance from reference librarians for any of these selected databases or other questions.
The following online resources are available for all Duke University alumni:
* ATLA Religion Database
Contains full-text articles from as early as 1924 and over 1.6 million citations for articles, essays, and book reviews covering all aspects of religion and theology.
* EBSCO Academic Search Alumni Edition
Provides full text for more than 3,190 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,000 journals covering biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and more.
* JSTOR
Provides full text and page images of over 1,000 leading scholarly journals in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences, from the earliest issues to within a few years of current publication.
* ProQuest ABI/Inform Complete
Offers more than 3,100 full-text titles covering business and economic conditions, corporate strategies, management techniques, as well as competitive and product information.
