What is it?
The online catalog is searched to locate call numbers for books and periodicals owned by the Duke Libraries. You may also find links for some digital resources.

Advanced searches can be limited by date, language, library location and format. Keyword searches are useful for combining two or more concepts.

ATLA Religion Database
What is it?
The database indexes periodical articles, essays, and book reviews. It also includes indexing of Methodist periodicals beginning with 1818. Many articles are full-text although the older Methodist entries are not.

Hints:
Search limits include date, publication type and language. Browsable indexes are noted as buttons at the top of the screen (ex.: scriptures, indexes).
A comprehensive search is useful for locating materials which combine two or more concepts; for this type of search be sure that "Default Fields" displays in the drop-down box. For example, to locate information on John Wesley's views on infant baptism you would type into the Default Fields box...
