Theological Library Month contest winners |
Congratulations to Matt Schlimm for submitting his winning entry for our 2007 Theological Library Month contest and earning his place in library history. Among the many possible reasons students should come to the Divinity School Library, Matt suggested, "It is the last place on earth where things are quiet enough to concentrate." Also, see the results from our 2006 Theological Library Month contest. |

"Dude - Where's my book?" or "Why are the Bible commentaries now under BS?" |
Almost all of our books now have call numbers that start with letters (BX 4827) instead of numbers (261.7). In the late summer of 2007, our collection was converted to the Library of Congress Classification system where each volume was relabeled with a new call number and reordered in our stacks. Please use the "Request" feature of the catalog for any book that appears to be in Dewey (call number starts with numbers). |

Alumni Resources |
The Divinity School Library at Duke University is pleased to offer our alumni access to ATLAS, an online collection of more than eighty major religion and theology journals from as early as 1924 to the present. Alumni will need to register in order to receive an assigned username and password to enter the database. When the request is received, your status will be verified and an account name and password will be sent back to you via e-mail.
In addition to ATLAS, almost any book that you see in our online catalog or through the new open WorldCat can be obtained through interlibrary loan at your local public library.
