May 2013 Workshops

Flipped classrooms - Engage students by flipping your class.

A “flipped class” is where students first learn the course content before coming to class, then spend class time deepening their understanding through active learning. In this session, we will discuss where
students can learn course content, how to ensure that they are learning, and try out some active learning techniques you can use in your class. During the session, we will model flipped classroom practices with participants.
