How to Make and Share Videos for Learning

It's incredible how simple and inexpensive it is for today's instructors to create instructional videos. This session will show you how you and your students can utilize both free and relatively inexpensive equipment to produce high quality video segments for instructional use. We will make use of HD webcams and screen recording software such as the Panopto Mobile Recorder and ScreenFlow.
We will also show how to use hardware available to Duke students and staff through the Multimedia Project Studio and Duke Digital Initiative in order to to record and produce high quality videos for in-class use.  Finally, we will go through the process of sharing your videos through the Kaltura Media Gallery in Sakai, as well as other video sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo. Prior experience is not necessary, but if you have created videos before for class, you will be sure to learn something new.
