CIT Events

Teaching and Learning Seminars

Join CIT consultants and faculty members for lively discussions of teaching ideas and methods. These informal seminars will include activities and examples to get you thinking about possible changes in your classroom. Topics include writing better multiple choice questions and how to use mobile devices for learning. "Teaching Thursdays" will be held every other week from 3:00 - 4:30 throughout Spring 2014.

Games for Deeper Learning

Adding games to a course gives students the chance to 'live' out scenarios they are studying. They can promote collaboration, exploration, and problem-solving by taking part in an active and transformative learning experience.

Join us in a discussion of what types of games are currently being used at Duke and other institutions, what research shows about gaming and learning, and how games can be used for effective teaching and learning in your discipline.
