Amy Cotter's photography portrays subjects particular to North Carolina. Both subjects thrive as a result of the climate, people, and general attitude of the state. One section of her work focuses on the Conservator's Center in Mebane. This center is a sanctuary to otherwise unwanted large and small cats, and it survives primarily off grants and the work of volunteers. The other portion of Amy's work focuses on the new Durham brewery, Full Steam. Full Steam produces beer from local produce such as basil and sweet potatoes. Both establishments are full of life and offered a great place to document. On display in the Perkins Library, Duke University, Student Wall, November 3-December 1, 2010.
