Duke University Libraries’ International & Area Studies (IAS) department supports Duke’s global interdisciplinary research, teaching and outreach initiatives. Librarians with specialized language skills and in-depth knowledge of regional cultures and societies manage collections addressing the needs of our researchers, faculty, and students in the humanities and social sciences engaged in the exploration and study of cross-cultural issues ranging from globalization and the arts to environmental policy.
