Viewing Equipment 

Video StationTo view Lilly's film and video resources, we provide...

  • 8 U.S. format VCRs
  • 2 Tri-Standard VCRs--these play U.S. and foreign tapes
  • 12 U.S. format DVD players
  • 3 code free DVD players--these play U.S. and other-region DVDs
  • 1 LaserDisc player
  • 1 U-Matic tape player--this plays 3/4" tapes*
  • 1 16-millimeter projector*

Most of the players are located in Lilly's viewing carrels, in the periodicals room on the first floor.

Lilly also offers viewing equipment for film screenings in Room 103, the Lilly Training Room.  For information about the viewing equipment or to reserve Room 103 for a screening, contact Ken Wetherington at 660-5989 or email ken.wetherington@duke.edu.

*To use the U-Matic or 16-millimeter equipment, please contact Ken Wetherington at 660-5989 at least 2 days in advance.
