- Viewing stations and headphones are available within the building, for your use.
Returns and Fines
Video Returns
- All videos should be returned to Lilly Library during normal hours.
- To limit damages, please do not return videos to other libraries or send them in campus mail.
Fines
- Because of the high demand for videos, we enforce due dates and times with a fee of $5.00 per day for overdue materials for all patrons.
- Damaged or lost videos will result in a minimum $175 fine for replacement and processing; this includes a $150 replacement fee and a non-refundable $25 processing fee.
- If actual replacement costs exceed $150, the fine will be the actual replacement cost plus the processing fee.
Reserves and Limited Circulation
Reserve Videos
- Faculty are encouraged to place videos they will assign to their students on reserve for the semester. Use the reserve form.
- Reserve videos are identified with labels for the semester, and do not circulate outside the building, except to the professor who placed the film on reserve.
- Other faculty may use reserve films for class showings if they acquire the reserving faculty member's permission, or ask Lilly staff to obtain this permission.
- Reserve videos may be checked out by students for 3 hours and used in the library.
Limited Circulation Videos
- Lilly protects films that are frequently used in classes, are in a special collection, are expensive or rare.
- Limited circulation videos may be viewed in the building, but will circulate outside the building only to faculty and graduate students who have upgraded to faculty status.
- Videos in yellow boxes have limited circulation status; most users can check them out for 3 hours to use inside the library
