If the Duke Libraries do not have the item you want, you can request it via Document Delivery/ILL (Interlibrary Loan). There are two ways to do this:
Or
NetID and password access only.
Log in. Provide required information about the item you want. Submit the form.
If an item you need is already checked out you may recall it and request that it be delivered to the library of your choice.
If an item you need is located at the LSC (the catalog will list this as the location for the item) you can request that it be delivered to the library of your choice.
(Faculty and Grad Students only)
If an item you need is located at another Duke Library you can request that it be delivered to the library of your choice.
The Duke Libraries have an open return policy — items from any library can be returned at any other library. The exception to this are Lilly and Music media items — they must be returned to their original locations (Lilly Library or the Music Media Center).
Request that library staff locate a book that is not on the shelf (and not checked out).
