Duke's philosophy collection includes books in the major areas of the field in which Duke faculty teach and conduct research, including aesthetics, bioethics, Chinese philosophy, epistemology, ethics, the history of philosophy, logic, metaphysics, political philosophy, and the philosophy of biology, law, science, and the mind. It also includes hundreds of print and electronic journals, a small collection of videos, and five major databases.
