I am in possession of an Ethopian Scroll and a prayer book. I have had them for many years. A professor at Claremont College in Claremont, Ca. who could read Ethopiac looked at them and thought them quite unusual. One speaks of St. Michael and The Bandlet of Righteousness, magic spells and Christianity and Gog and Magog. Who would I speak to regarding the book and scroll?

Sincerely,

Christina Monterastelli

My father, Harold Kay, was a member of the Polar Bear troop. His brother was instrumental in getting our government to bring back those boys. I have copies of the letters sent to Washington. I walked with my father when the dead were brought back and buried at White Chapel cemetery in Michigan.

Hello,

I just dropped in while doing research on the "Polar Bears" for an upcoming documentary film. The film is being produced by Pamela Peak the Granddaughter of a member of the 310th Engineers in north Russia. If you are interested to know more about the film here is a link www.polarbeardocumentary.com .

I collect vintage photos and have three or four of troops that served in Siberia. If you would like scans of them let me know I'll dig them out and send you scans.

Regards,
Dale Niesen

Dear Sir,
During world War II, My father Sgt. D. Stanford Howdyshell was private secretary to General Robert L. Eichelburger and most likely typed most of the later records that you have in your Eichelburger Collection. He may be able to shed some light on some of the material from his memories of that time when he was with the General most of the time. Contact me at the above Email address if interested in knowing how to contact my father.
David S. Howdyshell Jr.

I agree with Mr. Rickards' comments above. I worked on the football training table for "Big Bill" Jones along with Alex and Ginny from the cafeteria staff and Hershall Caldwell, another student, in '55 and '56. I worked the regular cafeteria during the winter and spring of those years. I would like to see something done in memory of "Big Bill"---anyone else interested? He was a huge help to me and one of the best friends/mentors I have ever had.

Ms. Samouelian, how about an article about Bill Jones and his contributions to the University?

Best regards,

Carroll
