Join us at the Third Annual Instructional Technology Showcase on April 11, 2003, in Perkins Library, hosted by the Center for Instructional Technology.
** Faculty presentations **
On topics such as fostering collaborative teamwork in online courses,
organizing student multimedia projects, evaluating distance education
programs and using simulation software to integrate physical experiments
with numerical simulations.
** Keynote speaker **
Franziska Frey of the Rochester Institute of Technology will discuss the
development and use of digital image collections in a variety of
disciplines.
** Poster session **
Talk with faculty project leaders and see successful implementations of
technology in many different subject areas.
** Workshops **
Best practices for creating and using digital images, what is new in
Blackboard 6 or instructional uses of Adobe Acrobat. Space is limited in
these workshops, so pre-register early to get a seat.
** Vendors **
See their latest products and services to enhance teaching and learning.
** Door prizes **
Signed basketballs from the Duke women's or men's basketball teams, a Palm
M515, an iPod, Impactica OnCue software, a $100 gift certificate from Duke
University Stores or gift certificates from area museums and restaurants.
All events are free but some have limited space and require
pre-registration.
